About me
Not actually a critic, just the average girl in her mid 20’s with a passion for skincare and cosmetics, but especially skincare. Growing up with acne-prone skin was a learning experience for me, and I love sharing what I’ve learned in hopes of helping others! Beginning in middle school and on, I was spending time (probably too much time) watching YouTube videos on makeup & skincare. I’m talking way back in the day with the OG Youtubers (Blaire & Elle fowler, Meganlovesmakeup,etc.)
I also played sports throughout my whole life, so my passion for skincare eventually surpassed my love for makeup. I found that sweating every day was not a good match for a full-face. I also found that sweating all day created a greater need to pay attention to what I was putting on my face. Although I still enjoy makeup, I have found that really good skincare slowly lessens the need for it. I love the creative side of makeup looks, and for that reason I still really enjoy trying new products out. You will get reviews from both on here, but don’t be surprised if more often than not, they are on skincare!

Skin Types
It’s important to me that every skin type, texture, and color is considered in my reviews. Please note that I have fair toned, combination skin. Because of this, I try skincare for acne prone, dry, and oily skin. I will specify in each review which type&texture the product is targeting or more geared towards. Regarding skin tone range in cosmetics, I keep in mind and note brand inclusivity. In this day and age, there is no reason brands should be excluding tones on either end of the spectrum, and it is important that the brands that are inclusive get highlighted.
Realistic Makeup Products
I like to review makeup for the on-the-go and realistic girl. I gravitate towards products that make me feel good in my own skin and enhance natural beauty. Many influencer tend to push products that look great with lighting and editing, but wear differently in natural lighting. I love the creative aspect of a full coverage face and intense eye makeup, but that’s just not realistic for me. Because of this, I will review products that are good for natural looks, easy to use, and get the job done for any/every occasion. Not a knock against all the amazing girls out there wearing beautiful and creative looks! They just don’t work for everyone, and that's the truth for me.
